PIRN

Paediatric Inpatient Research Network

About PIRN

The Paediatric Inpatient Research Network (PIRN) launched on July 23, 2019 at an inaugural meeting in Toronto.  The aim of PIRN is to work with children and families to generate evidence that improves care and outcomes for hospitalized children in general pediatric settings. The network is composed of 19 members from all major children's academic centres from Newfoundland to British Columbia and several large Toronto community site leads. It also includes experts with diverse backgrounds who work in the field of general pediatrics and is a Children's Healthcare Canada Child Health Hub.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We would like to acknowledge the land on which SickKids operates. For thousands of years it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat and Petun First Nations, the Seneca, and most recently, the Mississaugas of the Credit River. Today, Toronto is home to Indigenous Peoples from across Turtle Island. SickKids is committed to working toward new relationships that include First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples, and is grateful for the opportunity to share this land in caring for children and their families.
